I don't think that's even true? They weren't definitively the Discovery Klingons (for one thing they were kind of purple) and even if they were, Klingons have different canonical appearances in many parts of canon.

Anyway, it was a great episode, why be a wanker about it when there was so much positive stuff to enjoy? Would you say Garashir or Trip/T'Pol fans shouldn't be happy because that's a different universe?

They even made a reference midway through the episode that the Klingon ship following them wasn’t being changed because Klingons don’t vary their ships much. Changing those Klingons were into a previous generation of Klingon was multiversial because those specific Klingons didn’t look like the Discovery ones before
