I happen to have this on DVD, sitting on my shelf right now, though it's because I watched it when it first aired and loved it.

I think about this show all the time!

That one scene where it started raining and they all ran for cover but the kid in the special needs mech suit couldn't reach cover and they were all freaking out because they thought rain was acid rain like it was on Earth?

Or the slimey muppet monsters?

Or the very creepy sand monster aliens?

Or fucking Tim Curry popping up and creepily befriending the little girl?

And that creepy guy (Morgan?) that was married to Noxzema girl which seemed like the most random pairing ever?

Yeah, I remember that show. I would absolutely love if it got a reboot.

I remember we all hopped on the internet to nitpick the scientific inaccuracies of Earth 2.

Man, it had Jessica Steen, too. I really thought it was going to be successful. It had an ambitious premise, but it seemed like it could maybe deliver on it.

I do think about this one every once in a while, but My So-Called Life is probably the cancelled show that haunts me most.

I love Jessica Steen. She was in so many of my favorite shows when I was younger. Captain Power. Homefront. Earth 2. Great actress. Odd compliment, but she broke my heart anytime she cried.

Yeah, she's great, I feel like she should've had a bigger career, but her guest roles on a bunch of different things are always a treat - Due South, NCIS, Supernatural, CSI, etc.

Oh man, I loved Earth 2. There were so many interesting characters and worldbuilding bits. Like the fact the inter-generational debt incurred to get from earth to the space stations was the reason most of the crew who were supposed to stay on the ship took the job or how the pilot was 100+ yrs old despite looking late 20s or, my favorite, that when they needed something really fancy to trade with the planet's creatures (grendlers or something?) they made a necklace out of random forks because what's rare and amazing to one group might very well be meh, who cares to another.

That's what I loved about it, it seemed to have so much world building and tidbits that would really pay off for the long game. What a shame it didn't last.

Yesssss. I think about this show all the time, and I'm still bitter it was cancelled. So much wasted potential.

I loved this show so much.

I remember this show! My Dad and I watched it together when it was airing.

That said, I can't recall a single thing about it. I know that I liked it at the time, but other than that, it's just a bunch of...vague impressions. Biggest one I have is of the characters in some kind of cave, with local humanoids in it.

This was one of my favorite shows! It aired right when AOL became popular, and was my first experience with online fandom. It was my first fan convention too. Great show, great memories!

I remember it too, OP! It was a crime they cancelled it. Best kind of cheesy SciFi.

oh I loved Earth 2, it had such potential and Tim Curry was magnificent

oh wow, I have not thought about that show since it aired. Incredible. Maybe I'll see if I can find a torrent. Hell, maybe I'll through Space: Above & Beyond in as well, relive my early teens
