My Mom got me a couple of boxes of store-brand cereal for Christmas one year after making me get presents for my Dad and siblings on her behalf, because she didn't know what to get them and left me with the fun task of figuring out four sets of presents to get everyone.
Honestly the context behind the gift is what made it disappointing.

I'm trying to wrap my brain around how anyone could think cereal is a good present unless it's some kind of inside joke or gag gift.
