In my opinion, the film "Jesus of Nazareth" (with the late Olivia Hussey as the Virgin Mary) is a much better life-of-Christ movie than "Greatest Story." The Jesus in GSET is at least as wooden as Charlton Heston in "The Ten Commandments"; he just stands there, looking solemn, most of the time; and only speaks to quote New Testament passages. And then there is the unintentional hilarity of John Wayne as a Roman centurion, drawling, "Surely this man was the Son of God" as if he'd just flown in from the "Rio Grande" set a few days before. Maybe it's time for a new life-of-Christ film, with decent acting and directing...
