I brought this up here before; in The Weight by the Band, someone posted that they thought the line was "take a load off Granny" and I thought the line "he caught me in the fog" from that song was "he cut me in the bar". I thought it was a song about a bar fight. I've listened to that song again recently and it STILL sounds like "he cut me in the bar"!
also, a shit load of Elton John songs. Bernie Taupin seems to like very non sequitiry lines.
