Howl's Moving Castle! Still enjoyed the movie and have seen it again since, but I prefer the book.

I imagine the book would seem even weirder if the movie set your expectations of the story. Glad you enjoyed it!

And that’s another example where (IMO) the movie makes the characters less flawed and more appealing to a wider audience.

That is why I really don't like Howl's adaptation. Characters became so much flatter. I loved how flawed and relatable they were.
