Some rich dudes like having expensive cars they almost never drive, and sometimes don't even know how to drive. Is is hoarding? Some people have tons of Pokémon cards in binders and sleeves they barely take out so they don't accidentally damage them. Is it hoarding? I can see where buying stuff you never look at is hoarding but I think it still depends on why you're doing it.
