Practically anyone saying "I don't like reading books written by [some minority]" is going to be accused of being unfair and hostile to that minority, because "hate" has been repurposed to mean everything short of constant, performative positivity.

I agree with you that people who hide behind some group identity with an advocacy lobby tend to not have much going for them, personally, though.
