I don't necessarily disbelieve you, I'm just curious to know your source

I've heard it around fandoms spaces the last couple of days, but it seems to source from a Cracked.com article which says that:
A: The Simpsons hasn't had a renewal for some future season yet.
B: It is being scheduled on D+ for specials like the last Christmas one rather than specific seasons.
C: It is being moved off its usual broadcast spot to a less prestigious midweek slot.
and
D: One UK market has bumped it to a lesser channel.

Other than that it is all supposition.

Also E. The cast is getting noticeably old in its voice work and/or some of them are retiring, and they might have to recast Bart, Homer, and Marge.

There is no reason that the show cannot go on for another five hundred seasons, but a lot of people are starting to weave the above into a narrative that it is facing cancellation.
