Yes, this.

I've had times where a lot of the rudeness in the comments got to me and I took a break from FS or scrolled past certain threads.

Some people IMO are encouraged rather that discouraged to keep up the nasty attitude/trolling when they see comments or secrets along the lines "the trolls have turned this place ugly, I'm leaving/taking a break".

Like, please don't assume people are going to do better after hearing they hurt an anon's feelings on FS, if anything the people who are supposed to "get the mesaage"

To finish: the people who are supposed to "get the message" oftentimes are relishing with glee at "hurting your feelings" enough that you made an announcement about how their behavior led you to leave.

It's better to just leave/take a break without making a whole thing out of it.

I agree, which is why I said in the original thread like, the responses are probably gonna be the opposite of what OP wanted.

People who aren't trolls, even if sympathetic, are going to avoid this thread because it seems like a flounce (even if it isn't)

People who are trolls are going to see this secret and go "lol, mission accomplished"
