My mother could never listen to Duelling Banjos and would always turn it off. The reason turned out to be that, as newlyweds, my parents went to see Deliverance. She was a surgical nurse so she didn't care about gore, but she HATED horror and suspense, and hated the movie. And when they got home, my dad hid in their bed with just his hand sticking up as in the last scene of the movie and terrified her! So Duelling Banjos gave her chills forever after.
