nayrt but I wouldn't call it a dumb comment, though I might use the terms pedantic, rude, and/or unnecessary.

I'd also call it wrong because it should be "ex-husband" but grammatically speaking, they do have a point. Unfortunately, the widespread (mis)use of this phrase has led to one of those situations where the (mis)use is now widely accepted and "correct" as a result.
