Yeah that sounds wild. And not fun. I think I made it to 3 in game years once...

the longest-running farm I have is 9 years. it's stayed at 9 years for a longass time because I keep starting new farms rather than go back to my old ones.

I assume the people who have played on the same farm for 25 years are the ones that take it super slow and casual and don't try to optimize and cram as much progress as possible into every single day.

The latter type runs out of stuff to do quickly.

The only time I did a perfection run with minimal cheats (I just can’t get the hang of fishing!) I min-maxed the hell out of it, and it took about 7 in-game years.

And I spent several of those years sleeping most of the time.

(thanks secret maker!)

I've since gotten all four obelisks, crafted every item and cooked every recipe. I'm now at 90% and working towards the clock. My plan is to save all my harvests and animal products for the end of the season when I sell them and I make between 1.5-2mil each time. I have a crop of little over 200 ancient fruit on Ginger Island and 111 in the green house to boost this, along with ancient fruit wine in caskets going to iridium quality.

I also sleep most of the days away aside from crop harvesting/animal product gathering, unless there's a festival on. I don't see the point in going to the mines or fishing the days when I could hurry the season up by sleeping.

I’ve never played this game but I absolutely adore this comment <3 I just love geeking out over a game and excitedly rattling off stats or objectives. Good luck on your goal, OP!

I've done it once, and it did get tedious!

Using the Stardew Checkup utility helped when I couldn't work out what I'd missed: https://mouseypounds.github.io/stardew-checkup/

OP - I realised I was only missing the goddamn desert warp totem when I realised of course there'd be one for the desert! Looked up where to find it and off to the desert trader I was with 10 iridium bars.

I'm crazy and whenever I go for another run my aim is usually a year 2 perfection lmao. I think my oldest farm got to the start of year 5, and that was a super casual playthrough. Even when I try to go for a more relaxed run, I rarely get over the first half of year 3 before getting bored with it and starting fresh with a new one 😂
