Drop the Dead Donkey was a britcom from the eighties and nineties, the first I remember watching. And the first joke I remember from the show was Henry saying something along the lines of "Israel only attends peace talks so they can walk out", and goddamn but isn't that joke still applicable. The only announce ceasefires so they can pull out of them in feigned outrage that they'd be required to stick to the agreement too.

The agreement hasn't started yet, have some faith. Also I read that Hamas was unhappy with one provision - that they couldn't get every prisoner from Israel, and Israel retains the right to reject the candidates who serve a life sentence. Trump apparently threatened Hamas and as of today they're ready to sign. I do not know the finer details. Egypt and other countries are involved so it's not that simple.

Apparently there's a plan to rebuild Gaza. I'm hopefull that both countries experience some piece and that no more young peopple have to go to war. There'd be less of those if politicians have to fight each other personally, face to face.
