This's the article from 2022 on BBC saying the same thing. Also just reading BBC's headline I see bias and manipulation. I feel like it the same 20% of regions that were bombed since 2014 and really wanted to be a part of Russia. All because when USSSR fell apart they suddenly become a part of Ukraine.

Let me see if I can find a map of languages spoken in Ukraine. Here's the link. It's on Ukrainian site, so it's not Russian propaganda. Basically, the dark blue is Russian speaking, blue with orange dots is Ukrainian and Russian speaking, orange is Ukrainian, green is neither. Circa 2015.
