Noooo I lived the Hypercolor era, it's not worth bringing back.

Unlike all the shirts I've sent to Goodwill, my Hypercolor shirt had to be thrown out. Whatever chemicals are happening here can't be safe for consumption.

I want to live in hypercolor again. The current beige era is so... beige. I want big bold brassy blocks of blinding color everywhere again.

I had and loved a hypercolor t-shirt around 1990, but whenever I see a photo from that era it's got bright purple highlights on my boobs and stomach!

Fit and flare dresses

Color

Bell bottoms/flare jeans for guys.

Clothing made with real fabric like 100% cotton or 100% wool (or even a cotton-wool blend). Tired of acrylic, rayon, or polyester in everything, even a small percentage.

Hell yes on the natural fabrics. Rayon is comfortable but impractical. Polyester is an abomination.

Hard same on the contents. I've been doing tailoring for so long that even having "standard" tshirt/sweatshirt weight being at least 2-10% spandex instead of 100% cotton is maddening. I can't dye spandex. I can sometimes wrangle a decent dye job on a poly/cotton blend with an unholy abomination of dyes but spandex is like elastic, there is just no working with it.

Stretch in everything sucks so hard, I hate it. Stretch twill, stretch denim, stretch linen ffs get all the way out.

Damn straight. It's a challenge finding clothing that's 100% cotton without paying an arm and a leg for it.

A huge yes to natural fabrics.

I hesitate to say it because the last time it trended, it was ALL you could find, but. Blouson tops with elasticized hems.

I like bubble hems because they hide my gut fat. :(

I didn't know they were called bubble hems, but yes, exactly. Long tops accentuate my gut fat. Crop tops are a hell no.

Short-shorts for guys.

Ay ay ay

Khaki and/or corduroy skirts. Also, non-cargo khaki pants for women, please. (Men's styles would look really strange because of my hips.)

Girl get Old Navy OGC Chinos. Very good and a good price.

Fuck trends, but natural fibers or at least rayon.

Capes.

T-shirts overtop long sleeves. I find it really comfortable and a nice way to wear my favorite tees in colder weather, but apparently now it makes everyone else think you look like you're starring in a 00's Disney channel tween sitcom.

I wear that combo even in middle age. *shrug* (Granted, I can't do it right now when the highs are subzero Fahrenheit in my neck of the woods, but still.)

That dye job from 98/99 where you had black/dark brown hair underneath and bleach blonde hair on top. I read my journal from 1999 recently and I had described it there, lol.
