Yeah, I can definitely see how the arm and leg lengths could make for unusual sex logistics.

(Oh, on looking them up, I see the arms have two elbows, which is also interesting.)

I’ve never gotten into anything with canonical fish people, but after a “mershark” AU fic, I get some of that appeal

Oh yeah, the double-elbow thing was super fun to work with on a meta level. It's part of how Ideo as a character fights, so there was a lot of fun extrapolation when it came to funtimes. I love that Oda drew on actual Chinese legends for his worldbuild - Longarms, Longlegs, Three-eyed people, the island of all women, even giants and dwarves, all of it came directly from Chinese myth and not western (Greek/Norse).

Anyway it's all fun and games. Myth, legend, and imagination are all such productive fields of ideas.
