Well, live with mom, our main house looks sort of like a library but the library of a nature lover. Lots of pictures of forests and beaches and such.

My rooms look like a nerdy cat-lover librarian. Posters on the wall, cat towels and such, one wall covered in book shelves floor to ceiling.

I'm crazy jealous. How did you get a whole wall of book shelves? Is it like one unit? I'm in the market.

They are three separate shelves, they just are right next to each other and go all the way up. We've always had shelving like that. We have it in the living room too. We're a family of readers, and my parents were teachers. Books have always been a focus in our house.

That sounds fun. Care to elaborate?

I love all kinds of styles, but English Country is what I gravitate to. Lots of books, a bunch of cushy pillows on the sofa, flowers in a vase, horse paintings. The living room is this.

My kitchen is TRYING to be French Country. Currently thinking about what color to paint it. Yellow, maybe? I have white cabinets and vintage framed booze posters.

The bedroom is kind of boring. It's...blue? I wish it had an aesthetic, but I don't spend a lot of time in there.

Whatever the hell was cheap and/or practical at the time lol. Or maybe "minimal" would describe it better. I'm terrified of putting holes in the walls (apartment living). I'm thinking of those command strips/hooks but I haven't really thought of what I'd hang up as a decoration.

My mom says my living room looks like the inside of a doll house. She's not wrong. Every piece of furniture is a different, very bright color. I have brightly colored butterflies on my accent wall. My couch pillows are all different bold patterns.

Oh that sounds absolutely lovely, anon! I love the butterflies on the wall - are they a solid color or patterns, out of curiosity?

I love it! I tend towards maximalism as well in my living room. Mix and match furniture, lots of different colors, strings of lights, stuffed animals, throws and pillows, etc. Not much wall decor but that’s because I’m too lazy to hang things.

Eclectic Halloweencore, maybe? I mean, there are 6 full-sized movie posters in the living room and 5 of them are horror/thriller movies.

Maximalist, practical mishmash with a bunch of nerdy things sprinkled around for fun.

Heritage style. Although we have three rooms that are modern Scandinavian. It’s a total shock walking into them and I always smile at the gasps when showing off the house for the first time to someone. Also, one of the bedrooms is a blend of Heritage and Log Cabin.

Maximalist.
My favorite interior design style is Hollywood Regency, but I'm pretty eclectic, I also love a little, like... Victorian bachelor's apartment vibe? I like color, whether it's jewel tones or pastels, I like textures (especially velvet, minky faux fur blankets/throw pillows/area rugs...), I like a bar cart repurposed to hold other things... and I like having trinkets out on display! I like a vanity cluttered with little tiny glass/porcelain animals and interesting bottles, and bookshelves crammed with tchotchkes sitting on or in front of the books... I like personality!

What are you currently procrastinating on?

Bonus: are you productively procrastinating?

Doing laundry. I just don't have the energy. I may end up sending at least some of it out to a service we use sometimes.

Laundry is the worst. And it should logically be the easiest.

This morning I finally put away a basket that had been sitting there clean for over a week.

I don't know why it is so exhausting. Then again, every chore is exhausting these days.

Fanwork I signed up to make. Actually, I got my butt going on it finally, but something tells me I'll be barely squeezing past the deadline.

Also, finding/building community.

Filling out my annual disability redetermination paperwork. It's not difficult, nor does it really take that much time. It's more the emotion that I shouldn't HAVE to do this EVERY year for a PERMANENT disability, that makes me want to not do it out of spite, except for the part where I would lose my Medicare coverage if I did that.

I am not doing anything productive with my time though.

Work.

I'm looking for a yt vid to watch while working. No yt vid = no work.

Replacing my credit card: I lost it somewhere and I've been getting by using my phone but I really should get a new card

Changing my oil: my indicator is up but I haven't reached the mileage yet. I'm probably waiting for my card.
