Secret OP

I had a bob for a decade and my god, the weirdass "You look so much prettier!!!" people that came out of the woodwork when I grew it out in 2020. Also, I had never heard the term "mantrum" before and it's 100% entering my daily vocabulary.

A lot of people have some deeply ingrained views about what length hair = conventional attractiveness on a woman. But most of the active complaints come from men who are sulky about their wives/girlfriends/lust objects not appearing feminine enough to suit their pants-feelings.

I had a friend who used to have hair just past her shoulders, but cut it just above her shoulders while she was going through nursing school and raising an infant at the same time. Her husband didn't get physically abusive about it, but he sulked like a child and was snappish and hurt like she'd personally offended him by having shorter hair. She gave up and grew it out again. IMO, she should've divorced that hideous man-baby.
