I love your cloud example because you got the word forms but that's not a real cloud. Your kid brain retained it somehow.

(Cirrus is a high cloud, nimbus is a low rain cloud. They exist at different levels of the troposphere. Your brain was probably reaching for cumulonimbus aka thunderhead)

I remember the weirdly specific terms for the parts of a European castle wall defense but literally nothing else about European history.
