I don't know this fandom but I hate "the big bad is devouring/destroying timelines!!!" storylines. It's like fake ramping up the danger to make us care while not actually having to do anything to the main characters. MCU, looking at you. (Star Trek Lower Decks gets a pass for actually doing something with the idea.)

i know that it's a horror game, and that they need (or, well, want) to justify the grinding
