... but you wouldn't mind if someone else made them for you! As always, including the fandom and full character names is a big help, and while I'm definitely not the world's greatest expert at secret design, I'll try my best. Please note that long comment secrets can be difficult to make with a good end result. Most of the time, I'll give it a shot but might not be able to make secrets where the text is so lengthy that I can't fit it into the limited space.

I'll monitor this thread until tomorrow's secret post goes up, so feel free to leave your comments until then!

P.S. Please don't worry if you've submitted a secret and it hasn't been posted yet. I usually post these threads before running out of the previous batch of secrets to get a head start on the next batch.

I love Insaneway fics. The version of Captain Janeway where fans play up her autocratic and/or mental whiplash traits. They are just a joy to read, shame there is so few of them.

I wish the Buffyverse Wishverse had been a whole season long arc instead of just a single episode. It would have been so much better than actual Season Four, for example.

Once upon a time, I was young and dumb. My fandom friends were finding new fandoms, and I was scared of losing them. I started complaining whenever they mentioned their new fandoms on Livejournal. As you can imagine, I just lost these friends faster.

I regret being so terrible. I wish I could apologize, but either they're not on LJ anymore or they've changed their names.

I was told AO3 had fixed a lot of their early problems, but I just went back last week and it is still drowning in page after page of drabble garbage and overtagged nonsense. And I still cannot find anything relevant in their searches because off all the overtagging. Jesus, AO3 mods, put your goddamned house in order.

Bonus rant: Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul fics should never be labelled as crossover fics with each other.

After watching the Super Bowl on mute and giving it the Mystery Science Theater 3000 treatment with my husband, I'm not sure I can watch it any other way.

A random conversation with a friend last week reminded me I used to be a Brosette, and I am caught between being so embarrassed by my teen self and wanting to play When Will I be Famous on repeat for a few hours for sheer nostalgia. Who am I kidding? I'm streaming their entire discography right now.

I'm starting to regret getting into Genshin Impact first instead of Honkai Star Rail. I'm mostly annoyed by Genshin since the Natlan plot started and I'm incredibly tired of the increased shitty waifu fanservice. And now HSR keeps releasing cool new male characters while Genshin basically said "lol fuck you" and won't release male 5 stars for the foreseeable future.

I like the gameplay in Genshin more and I will only play one gacha game at a time and I also play it with a friend so I will see it through, sunk cost fallacy and all but man, it's a slog right now and I wish I was playing HSR instead.

I'll never know why so many off my SFF brethren get so angry about people not taking their SFF stuff "seriously", and trying to make it "real literature" instead of just fun. Why do so many goddamn nerds just hate fun?

The comments on the news posts at ao3 are such a mess and full of the dumbest people who have no idea how the site works but feel confident in criticizing it. I don't know how the mods stay calm and sane.

You can add Harry Osborn from Friendly Neighborhood Spider-man to rich characters I like. IRL a sheltered rich kid would be horrible, but he's so sweet it hurts.

I feel like we're supposed to sympathize and/or agree with Coach Scott, but honestly he just has this contempt for the girls in general that is so unlikable (and he had it before the crash). I also feel like a whiff of that comes off Travis too. I just feel like the flashbacks shouldn't have men in them. Give us an actual female Lord of the Flies, without men around to judge.

I was on LJ for ten years. I know I have precious memories on there. At some point way back when I considered getting it all published in an actual real-life book for myself (remember when that was a thing you could have?). Now I'm too scared of Putin or nameless Russian hackers to even try to get back into my account.

I liked most of the Virgin Doctor Who New Adventures books, but I really disliked certain authors whose whole schtick was just wangst wangst wangst. Looking at you Cornell and Orman, looking at you. still better than that one where the Doctor became best pals with Hitler and Goering tho, wtf Dicks?

Listen, I don't want to be a pearl-clutcher, but I think too many songs on the radio today or are popular make light of cheating, even glamorize it. As someone who experienced marital infidelity, it's an instant turnoff for a song. I literally avoid any media with cheating themes.

A lot of shows bungle their series finales. Not The Office. I wasn't even a huge fan of the show, but my partner marathons it, and so I got inadvertently wrapped into it. The finale was so sweet, so satisfying, and makes me cry everytime at different points. Perfect series finale!

I used to really like BBC history documentaries, but then they got weirdly political and the presenters started taking weirder and weirder leaps of logic away from the verifiable sources. Why do so many UK historians like Neil Oliver and David Starkey end up so damn wackadoodle?

The US version of The Office is superior to the UK one. Even if for no other reason than it doesn't have Ricky fucking Gervais in it. Leading contender for unfunniest man on the planet, forty straight years now.

Listen, I know we all love some rival shipping, but Tank/Bradley was the way more interesting ship as compared to Max/Bradley from An Extremely Goofy Movie.
