I’m reading the Empyrean trilogy. I had no idea going in that it was more romance than fantasy but luckily found out before the romance started. That way, I was prepared for the very poorly written, super tropey romance but still get to enjoy the fun fantasy bits. I’m a little over halfway through the second book and unfortunately my library doesn’t have book 3 on Libby yet. So if I want to read that when I finish this, I’m stuck forking over like $15. I don’t know if I care enough about learning what happens to pay to find out.
