If they were smart, then Democrats would use this as a springboard to talk about how they would instate a full Nationalized Health Service like the UK when they got back to power. Instead they are already talking about how they might soften some of the edges, but fundamentally accept that new normal. That is why they lost, and they can't work out why people don't want a "we'll hold the Status Quo party" as their delegates.

We the people will remember who spoke out and fought, and who rolled over and left us on our own.

I hope the more progressive members among the Democrats break off and start their own party at some point. No, I'm not kidding. We need folks who care more about the people than their own investments.
