Less off a personality than a sheet of bounce.

But a perfect demonstration of what tokenistic casting is. They cast him, aaaaaaaaaaaaand that was job done and they walked away. And the actor himself doesn't give enough of a damn about his profession to try and take advantage of that and do it themselves. He just doesn't care about the role beyond the publicity factor of it himself, and it doesn't make me think he even cares about the profession he is in. I can't imagine any of the other actors in the role, or any actor worth a damn in any role, looking at the blandest and most personality free character-writing and not trying to find a way to do more with it. Even the actors in Hercules in New York tried.
