1. Not sure but I haven't seen any warnings not to feed them in my usual groups, and they are usually on top of it.

2. I don't have Prime and I can still use my Kindle (and still use Amazon in general). You can also get books on your Kindle via Libby or other Library apps, and by sideloading into via Calibre (I use the desktop Kindle app for PC and haven't had a problem).

Thank you! I need to look into Calibre and Libby! I have a library that's a 10 min walk from me, self get you a library card.

They are such handy kindle sites! I have actually never bought a book for my Kindle, they have all been freebies (like from project gutenburg etc) or library loans.
