1. Check with your local wildlife office. Chances are that it’s safe to have feeders out but your local fish and wildlife folks are the ones who know for certain. There are plenty of avian diseases the necessitate removing feeders and baths and they tend to impact relatively small areas. Usually the name of the organization that handles that stuff is like Fish and Wildlife or Department of Wildlife, sometimes they even fall under the department of natural resources.

2. You can use your kindle forever regardless if you have Prime or not. You can even use it if you delete your entire Amazon account but it’s advisable that you put it in airplane mode and leave it that way forever if you delete your entire account. And in that case, for added assurance, you’d want to delete all WiFi passwords from your device. You would be limited to using Calibre or similar to manage the content on your device. This is a hugely popular thing and you can learn more about it on r/kindle if you want to explore that option. But if you just cancel your prime membership you can still use it the same way you always have. You just won’t get the free (usually crappy) book every month.

3. Yes, you can mass download all of your Gmail emails. Google has a built in tool for it called Takeout. You need to do it on a computer though; I don’t think it’s possible to do it on a phone or tablet. There are third party options for downloading everything and maybe one of them has the ability to do it on a phone or tablet. I just used Takeout when I did my late mother’s account. It had settings for filtering stuff out so I could just keep what we wanted and not worry about the ten million chain emails she and her friends passed back and forth or the advertising emails she got.

Most awesome helpful information nonny! Yes I'll check with my state's DNR, I get their newsletters but haven't seen any mention of bird feeders. But I'm on it to ask them!

Oh good I hadn't heard about Takeout so this is awesome! One of the accounts is my later mother's so I'm so glad to hear that it worked out well for you.

Thank you so much again! I hope you have a good day, or maybe just enough to sit and breathe (like I'm telling myself).
