Okay, I totally get tht. That's like... the same reason that fucking Barry Manilow song makes me cry. D:

There's this album he has called "Here At The Mayflower," and all the songs are the POV of different people who live in this fictional apartment complex called (duh) The Mayflower. I actually love the concept, and most of the songs are really good and really interesting.
Early in the album, there's a song called "Not What You See" which is an old man singing about how he and his elderly wife have more to their lives than just him taking care of her, and about how she used to be beautiful and he used to be strong and handsome... it's really sweet.
Then, later in the album, is a song called "I Miss You"... which is that same old man singing about how his wife has died.
It is fucking gut-wrenching.
