I don't like any of those biologically assigned sex roles AUs (BDSM, Dom/sub, A/B/O, etc) but there is this one MCU one that I adore and have reread multiple times.

Bonus "it is the exception" points, I am usually very firmly Steve/Bucky OTP and this is Steve/Bucky/Clint.

I think it works for me because it turns a lot of the tropes on their head. Like you start out thinking its just the same ol same ol and then slowly it is revealed how fucked up Clint's POV is and that no, those tropes are actually abuse. Idk it just hits the right notes for me.
