I generally don't like it either, but the cinema enjoyer in myself can't help but enjoy some of them. Most are annoying and suck though.
Lady Gaga's "Telephone" = I actually loved the mini-movie where she and Beyonce are out killing people and serving looks, fits well with the vibe of the song!
Maroon 5's "Payphone" = what a terrible song that is absolutely undeserving of a big budget mini-movie lore. Also Adam Levine sucks and he doesn't deserve this movie star treatment. Boooooooooooooooooooo

I actually love music videos where it plays like a mini movie without losing any bit of the music. I immediately think of Madonna MVs because I watched a lot of her MVs when I was a kid. "Take A Bow" is one of my absolute favorites of hers.
