Countertop microwave help

Does anyone have a countertop microwave with push buttons that doesn’t have express cook/one touch? Could you please share the brand and model?

My husband hates having to press “time cook” before entering the time. And he really needs a microwave at his outdoor cooking station (food allergy household). I did find one Panasonic model but it’s super tiny and cannot fit a dinner plate inside :(

Same anon checking back in on my lunch break! So work has a Panasonic and it says "the Genius Sensor 1200W" and then has NN-SN6865 on the bottom.

Mine doesn't have that (I had to go look up what it was) and mine's an RCA. That being said, mine's also almost a decade old at this point so I'm not sure if they even still exist/if the modern ones will have express cook or not.

It’s worth looking into so thank you! I may even find one second hand which is perfectly cool with us; knowing brands really helps me curate my searches. I wish I could filter out the express cook models but sadly haven’t had any luck doing that.

I'm confused. You want a microwave that DOES have express cook (press 1 and it cooks for 1 minute, 2 for 2 minutes, etc.) or not?

I don't think I've seen a microwave in the last 10 years or more that does NOT have the express cook function.

Mine has both, actually. It's some random W-M model my daughter and her ex-bf bought me when they accidentally killed my original one.

I want one that does not. Most over the stove ones don’t have it unless they’re made by GE or one of the brands that makes GE models under their own name.

But yeah, it’s nearly universal on countertop models :( I found one on FB marketplace that I’m going to check out tomorrow. It’s a 2023 Whirlpool and doesn’t say express cook or one touch anywhere on the keypad. The seller says it’s the kind I want after I explained so fingers crossed.

The Samsung microwave that hangs over my cooking range doesn't have express cooking buttons, which I miss but you'll probably like.

Yeah the over the range ones usually don’t have them except for a few brands. We have an LG one in the kitchen that would be perfect except they don’t make a countertop model like it. And their countertop models are very expensive. We want to go cheap at first because we live in the south and I have doubts about how long it will survive the heat and humidity. It will be in the screened porch so out of the sun at least but it’s hot as hell out there for like five months of the year.

I have a Panasonic that doesn't, but it's kind of old. It's not the model I linked below but pretty similar.

Oh that’s really cool! It isn’t quite what we’re looking for but I only learned about the existence of inverter microwaves very recently and am really interested to learn about them. We have a kitchenette in the basement and the microwave down there won’t last forever so I may want an inverter when the time comes.
