I completely agree. I love his voice. And while I DO like other artists who cover his songs (Peter, Paul and Mary, The Byrds, etc), it makes me frustrated when people say they can only listen to those versions and not his. :(

Hell yes OP. Lay Lady Lay is one of the sexiest-sounding songs I've ever heard (though my favorite Dylan song is Isis for some reason). And I love me some Traveling Wilburys. Anyway I mostly had to comment so I could use this icon.

I love you, OP, and all the commenters in this thread. I've been saying this for aaaages and everyone just lols at me. I fricking adore his voice, it's one of the most beautiful things in the world to me; the songs just don't mean as much without it. It's almost an instrument in its own right, and I love how its changed through the years. And contrary to popular opinion, he can change his voice, he can sing softly. Someone upthread brought up Moonshiner and that's a perfect example, as is Tomorrow Is A Long Time. They're both gorgeous. I think Dylan's voice is one of the primary reasons why he's my favourite artist, always has been, most likely always will be.
