Hearing all these stories about people learning different languages makes me wish I didn't drop out of my foreign language classes in middle and high school.
The more I hear about this sort of thing, the more I want to learn another language again...

I think it's a great motive. I'm learning Russian just so I can write poetry in it. My fiancee is learning French so she can read Victor Hugo in his original language. ^^
