The Timeless one from Halo's Forerunner trilogy, although his origin is sort of tragic since Precursors were first hunted down by the Forerunners before returning. That said, he is fucking evil to the core, the ultimate villain of the setting, and my favorite villain ever in literature.

Brainiac from My Adventures with Superman was incredibly acted, an amazing fun-to-hate villain with themes of emotional manipulation and gaslightning. Back then, I was more used to DCAU's Brainiac, but MAWS!Brainiac has presence.
