I don't understand why you wouldn't just tell the truth? I got into 80s new wave via the GTA Vice City soundtrack. I got into opera via Bugs Bunny cartoons (thank you, Rabbit of Seville).

you also won't be the only person who found their way to classical music via that path - wouldn't you get a kick out of someone having the same origin as you, rather than an imaginary uncle?

I feel you. I enjoy shipping but I find the common insistence in fandom that ‘there’s no platonic explanation for this’ annoying regardless of whether it’s m/m, f/f, or m/f, the over insistence that no one could possibly care that much about another person without it being romantic is fucking baffling to me and I genuinely wonder if the people saying that even have… Yanno friends?

But absolutely if someone is making it about gay ships only then they’re being a homophobe and trying to get away with it because het shippers do this shit too and it’s still annoying!

Pretty much, it's that specific phrase.

"I don't see or like A/B as a romantic ship" is perfectly fine. "Not everything has to be gay" is an oddly hostile response to someone simply liking A/B as romantic.

In the same vein, "I don't like pancakes" is perfectly fine. "Not everything has to be covered in maple syrup" is an oddly hostile response to someone simply saying they like pancakes.

Well... as much as I hate AI (due to environmental impacts and anyone who uses programs to steal art/writing, not so much the "I need better precision in this surgery" kind), more and more gaming companies are turning to it to polish their games. I do wish they'd be more transparent about it, and give reports on its impacts to the environment.

I don't know if I'll get the latest PL game yet; it'll really depend on reviews and how the game was made. If they just borrow the previous VAs' voices or if the script makes no sense, I might pass. If it's just "we sharpened the lines on this character" then I might check it out. Level 5 insists the AI is just a tool and that the human using it comes first. I suppose time will tell.

I hated it, too. But it was a moment of weakness—and ironically, pardon the phrase, very human of him. If it makes you feel better, he died heroically for his sins.

I found him very fallible and understandable—he's compelling because he does the kind of monstrous things that nearly anyone, at their lowest point, can imagine themselves doing. I also find it interesting that his ideas are the closest to Kushner's, like he's writing a semi-autobiographical character who does the most relatable evil in the play.
