The issue is, the 2 party system is a GOLDMINE for what some my call "the DEEEEEEEP state." Or the establishment. Or however you want to frame it. You don't have to be GOOD, just better than the other guy. That, shit that's what had Biden shuffle his dementia ridden ass into the seat of power.

Any attempt to form a legitimate 3rd party for the poors would IMMEDIATLY be framed as either "dangerous racist white supremecist super hitlers" and "Commie degenerate satanic paedophiles" by EVERY SINGLE OUTLET worldwide.

And in all honesty, as much as I like to nurture some optimism where I can, I simply don't believe the majority of voters have it in them to resist the urge to outsource their opinions to their preferred brand of media.

I somewhat share your pessimism, thanks for hearing me out at least. I am not as pessimistic as you though. I think a party for the working class could gain great momentum and strength in our country today.

I hope you're right. I just think it's WAY too useful for everyone if the working class, hell, if everyone is divided and voting AGAINST one guy, rather than FOR the other. But I can cop to being pessimistic, it's a fair observation.

For sure, quite a number of Trump voters were voting against Biden/Harris or against HRC, rather than really liking or trusting Trump as well. Keeping the working class divided is a very useful tactic. I think something has to give, I am hopeful for the future, but I do fear that we will suffer a time of instability and potentially many hardships before positive change comes.

And Biden, honestly. I think a lot of the people who voted Trump in 2020 were pushed into it after - hell, I started typing this but I actually KNOW a bunch of them were pushed into it after the DNC fucked Tulsi. After they previously Fucked Bernie. I was never a Bernie guy, and honestly I don't totally dig Tulsi on her 2A stances (maybe I dig her more than trump, Idk), but I know for a FACT Trump picked up a lot of people who were "I'm just not letting them get away with what they pulled on her".

And frankly I think it went the other way around too. I feel confident in saying that Biden won in no small part on the strength of his bold and refreshing political strategy of not being Trump. I remember hearing some political talking head say "so what if he is a paedophile? I could walk in on him raping my own child, and I'd still vote for him, because it's /that/ important to keep trump out of power." That's you're political system ladies and gentlemen. Mine too, if I'm honest. I have never voted for labour in my life. I've voted against the Tories once or twice tho.

It's not how it ought to be tho. People voting against the person who they believe will fuck them the hardest. But it really is the only system in play right now.

Some of the arguments in favor of a candidate have truly been stomach turning. Overlooking any flaw, any policy, any errors because it's not the other guy. What are we meant to do if both sides keep getting worse? This argument of "voting against" eventually falls apart for me, which is why I hope for moving past the two party system.
