But so much of the fandom stuff I have seen involving feminism revolves around people bashing female characters for not living up to whatever standard they think a good role model should be, or for bashing people in fandom for having different standards for what a good female character should be, or for people bashing people for not liking any given female character and thereby blaming it on sexism...to me, it all just blurs together in a giant whirlwhind of noise. Anything that actually IS sexist or something just gets lost in the din of people fighting over frivolous stuff, which is what's reduced me to just rolling my eyes and scoffing at everything nowadays.
