I don't get tiktok at all. the words flashing at you, the fake faces, the filters, the topics...I'm literally too old for that shit.

tbh the insistance of subtitling everything in scrolling, flashing nonsense reminds me of Japanese tv, which I have tried to get and don't, but at least I know Japanese tv shows are 100% subtitled with giant flashing NANI?? AA?! because most people watch it muted on their phones on the train. tiktokkers do not.

I also don't get a lot of youtube content. I get why there are so many channels about trains even if it's not my thing; I don't get why I should see what Debra bought at Costco this week.
