I think a lot of the way people talk about it online is because they're venting. There's not really safe places in real life to state you hate kids, they irritate you, you don't want to be around them. So when people get online, find likeminded folk, and talk about it, a lot of it is just letting off steam.

Which, hey, I'd rather people let off steam online and just ignore kids IRL than actually take that dislike out on them. (Which ignoring their hello isn't taking dislike out on them. I ignore hellos from strangers of all ages, all the time, lmao.)

I'm also childfree, for what that's worth.
