One point that you're missing is that life is already unpredictable and full of shocks and sad or fucked-up things happening. It's fine to want to experience happy ending FICTION, though.

Why aren't you out at the food bank, cleaning trash off the street, planting trees, protesting the war in ukraine, protesting the genocide in palestine, protesting the fascism in the us, protesting the genocide of the uyghurs, sending all your excess money (of which you must have a lot since you only eat beans and rice because eating pleasing food is miserable) to victims of the recent earthquake in India?? You're not helping your community.... you're here. Is it because.... you.... enjoy something? How dare you indulge yourself when you should be living for others!
