Agreed. And that’s part of why this is a secret.

He’s a terrible person. I know it and I love him for it. I love to watch him be a terrible person, reveling in evil and doing whatever will serve his own interests, without caring about morality.

And then I’m bothered when he goes through some humiliation? He “deserves” that and worse. Especially in a show where good people end up suffering decades of torture in hell.

Maybe part of it was hating Lucifer. I hated Lucifer and I can't stand his actor.

Not in a "you're supposed to hate the bad guy, duh," way. Lucifer from the Lucifer series is amazing!

I think you may be right. I did hate Lucifer so much in a way that it wasn’t really fun to watch him.

Lucifer from the Lucifer series is literally just IM1 era tony stark with a new gimmick

arrogant, flashy, quippy, flirty, cynical, daddy issues, and a completely uncomplicated heart of gold for the benefit of palatable procedural TV

i get that it's a character type people like but I fucking hate that people think of him as the "good" version of writing Lucifer. my kingdom for an adaptation that had even a trace of the tone of Mike Carey's comic, even if the actual plot is unfilmable

Thank you for articulating one of my problems with the Lucifer show. I really didn’t like that characterization, but it seems to have loads of fans.
