Never read The Iliad, but if makes you feel better, a lot of people will pair Dante and Virgil from The Divine Comedy. Slashing characters in classic fiction is nothing new. Though I am curious - why did you pretend to hate the story when you actually enjoyed it? There's nothing shameful about enjoying a classic. :]

So do I, OP. Seriously, it's awesome to just think about having a harem of hot guys to cater to our every whim. Heh, in fact, with my friends, we've often joked that we would have Ian McKellin as our harem master; not to have sex with, since he's gay, but to sit with us and have ~*~witty conversations~*~ and look amazing, boss the boys about and having his pick of them when we're done for the day.
