So much this. I was like Hot DAYUM this cast got fine.

OMG. I caught part of the first movie on tv today and immediately felt so skeevy for thinking some of the actors were hot when I was that age. Can't find them attractive now either.

I think of them like the childhood friends you saw all the time as a kid and then you lost touch (the year(s) it took to make OAP) and then you meet up with them again and think 'they grew up good')

So it's not quite as weird.

You know what, from now on I'm subscribing to this line of thought so I don't feel like a skeeze whenever I watch the first movie. Your assistance has been invaluable.

Hehe I totally think of it the other way!
I've grown up with actors too (actually basically all the HP cast..) and I'm like "Damn these guys turned out good!"

But yeah, its odd watching Baby!Draco and then Badass!Draco and thinking "Ehh... should I find him hot?"

I know what you mean, it's crazy. (And a little creepy for me, since I'm slightly older than most of them and I went from "awww, he's adorable!" to "DAMN, I'D HIT THAT" more than once. >____>)

You see, this is one of those times I'm really happy to be one of the younger folks in fandom. I was six when the first movie came out, so I could happily crush on anyone in the movies, and, in a way, I feel like I'm kind of growing up with them, even though we're eight years apart.
And, on an utterly shallow note, everyone looks really hot in those particular pictures. Particularly Matthew
Lewis (HOT DAMN), Rupert (he's always cute, but that picture is just...special, okay?) Evanna (although hot's not really the word, more like adorable or stunning or, okay, she's hot), and Dan, whom I'm not usually attracted to, but my goodness.

I'm totally shipping the middle three in the top row now.

There's such an age gap for me (I was 20 when the first movie came out) that the cast definitely falls into a sort of 'kids I used to babysit' kind of area. I can think they grew up hot, but in an objective sort of way; the sort of thing where you can think your brother is hot because he is, and not because you'd ever want to boink him.

lol i feel no compunctions about finding any of them attractive. they got older as i did, so it doesn't seem to matter that they're 5+ yrs younger than me :P

I'm younger than all of them by three or four years so I have no such problems. I really feel like I've grown up with them though.
