Pretty sure OP means humanise as in turn them into a human for shipping/sex purposes, and to that I agree. What's the point of shipping a non-human with a human if you don't keep the non-human as is???

Agreed. I'd rather have a human partner turned into the same type of thing as the non-human partner, and even then only if it's absolutely 100% necessary for the scenario to work, physically. (And, even THEN, I'd rather have the complication be part of what's going on.)

I can enjoy some humanization depending on the ship, but 100%, you're taking away all the fun!

Particularly felt this when most AM/Ted I found had human!AM, AM would NEVER make himself a human body (It would be too easy on Ted.)

I liked The Untamed, managed to get through the novel but struggled with the clumsy writing quality/translation, then tried this and just couldn't get through chapter one because it seemed like more of the same. I figured if they ever made a live action adaptation, that would help me get into more, but so far... nope. And with China's stricter approach towards BL properties, it might never happen? (Yeah, I know about the donghua.)

I don’t cry, but it does always punch me right in the heart. When he asks them to stand? When he calls Howard “Astronaut Howard Wolowitz” for the first time? When he saves Penny and Leonard for last because of everything they've done for him over the years? I’m in a glass case of emotion!!! ;___;

Between this and the final shot just being everyone eating takeout in the living room as always, I loved the way it ended.

I ended up not finishing this show - not because of this trope in particular, but because it just seemed to be dragging on after a while. I did like its initial premise, which was a little Pride and Prejudice-like where a very Mrs. Bennett-ish character moves to a new city with the goal of marrying off her remaining daughters to good husbands. There's some good humor in it, and some interesting plots. But the court cases (because one of the husbands is a judge) weren't that interesting and I got bored waiting for the last couple daughters to get married.
