My advice would be to choose your wording carefully, don't fling around insults, and don't post when you're in RAGE mode. :)

Actually, you just have to be lucky. And also avoid the traps. And the crocodiles. And sometimes there'll be wank anyway, just because someone else feels like you purposely stepped on their toes. Try to look at some other rants +

Then again, I've been jumped a few times on Customers Suck, too, so I guess I always figured that was normal in rant communities? Sometimes you get away with insulting commentary, sometimes you don't, and sometimes you're not even insulting people but get sniped for it anyway.
And sometimes you get caught troll-baiting, but I deserved that.no subject
But I think my lack of desire to post is mostly down to the fact I posted a rant and months later the author of the fic found it. But she wasn't being an arsehole, she was explaining her case and being really friendly. I felt terrible after that. I still thought the fic was too much in the way of destroying childhoods and that the characters were OOC but...she was SO nice about being ranted about.
