I think I remember a comedian or sitcom doing a bit about just that thing. Wish I could remember where.

I remember first watching TNG and my dad telling me that Kunta Kente was on Geordi. Took me the longest time to realize that he meant the actor, not the characters.

Sometimes, I'll watch reruns and go "Kunta, how'd you get your leg back?" before I remember. Then I'm like "oh. I'm a moron."
