I enjoyed reading it, but it is taken far too seriously by far too many people for all the wrong reasons.

It's rather ridiculous, IMO. Guinevere can't get pregnant, so she asks Morgaine to make her a pregnancy charm even though Gwenivere is morally against magic! Morgaine warns her that magic often doesn't work the way people want, but Guinevere is desperate to get pregnant and takes the charm anyway! Then Guinevere has a hot threesome with Arthur and Lancelot during which she sees Arthur and Lancelot touching each other and is deeply creeped out by it! So she blames Morgaine! And then Guinevere gets abducted and almost raped by some dude who wants to be king! And then Lancelot saves her and they throw down on the hay and have wild animal sex!

And that's not even taking into account Morgaine's mood swings and massive power trips and getting married to an eighty-year-old man while sleeping with his thirty-year-old son.
