Why would it have to be an hour of people sitting around and talking about their feelings? You just need a few lines of dialogue here and there explicitly addressing this stuff. The rest can be shown through the actions the character takes, the way they approach certain situations, their emotional reaction to certain things, etc. Think of Mulder dealing with his fire-related trauma. There wasn't an hour of him crying to Scully; they created an arsonist villain and had him have to go into a burning building.
