If you don't want lice, you're going to need to shave everything, especially your head. If they're going to make women have smooth legs and armpits, I'll take it if they also shave their heads.

Those are two different kinds of lice! Head lice are not as bad in that they don't give most people rashes, just itchiness, but body lice will infest everything from the eyebrows down and give you nasty rashes.

Also, if the women are shaving legs/pits/groins so should the men.

You have to come into CONTACT with someone who is infected with lice to actually get lice. So if you're not bumping uglies and/or sharing a bed, hats, or combs/brushes with someone who has it, you won't get it.

Uh, they can live on surfaces. THey were infested in our busses as kids, we all got them at one point or another.

I dunno. Looking them up, it says lice only live 1-3 days without a human host, so if you're being a mad-dog loner of the apocalypse, you should probably be okay.

How the fuck common do you think it is to randomly get public lice? In 30 years of having bush, I haven't gotten them once.

Fucking this. It's so damn annoying to see the flowing hair, the perfect skin, the artful 'natural' makeup. And if you're gonna have your biggest post-apocalyptic life be filthy clothing (looking at you, Walking Dead) and never even doing a damp wash-cloth wipe down, then show the skin rashes that comes from that kind of poor hygiene.
