My cat has a very bad URI. Like, if she gets worse, she needs to go to the emergency vet. She hasn't eaten in a couple of days. But.

Subcutaneous fluids have helped. She has more fight in her now than she did this morning. She's been given her first round of antibiotics. She occasionally barfs, but that makes sense--she's draining snot into her poor tummy. She clawed the shit out of my husband when we were giving meds, but has also been wandering around off and on. She's got some life in her. She's fighting.

Oh no, so sorry. Poor kitty. My cat used to get those and bladder infections a lot. We switched her to prescription food. I really hope your kitty feels better soon. Sick kitties are heartwrenching.

She's, for the moment, pretty bad. Can't jump from weakness, wobbly, etc. But the fact she even wants to explore is already more than yesterday.

I think it really is as simple as getting her to eat. :c If we can do that... I think she'll recover just fine in no time.

I totally get it. My girl is my baby too, and when she's not doing well, I'm not doing well. I hate seeing her in pain.

She's gone. I feel empty. The house feels empty. Our other cat keeps looking for her. I'm so upset. She was recovering until she wasn't. She went downhill so much.
